As you all know we are not the alliance chat leaders. Baring that in mind we have been asked to abide by a new alliance chat rules and regulations that will be posted on the alliance MoTD later this evening. I have not seen this list however I would assume that it will appear something like this.

Please treat each other with respect and do not hurl insults at one another in alliance chat.
Please do not spam.
Please do not use racial slurs or race based derogatory remarks.
Please do not use alliance chat as a means to hear yourself talk.

Now, you may ask yourself how did this come about. Ok, well I’ll have to summarize as I was not present for all of this and was quite confused when I suddenly became the target of a lecture and finger shaking.

Apparently earlier on in the evening there was were two people truly fighting with each other in alliance chat (AS) and spamming the channel. These two people were eventually hushed by alliance members.

In steps myself, Enwood and Carston. Do I really need to say more? Ok here is a hint, “Enwood your Mom is a whore”, “Quistis don’t you hate it when you get sand in your vagina”, “Stormshadow how about I give you a cup of shut the fuck up and die?”. Well that last one was the straw that broke the camels back, and I said it. What followed was a straight up brawl of Qusitis/KoT supporters and haters. Eventually after a few attacks on my leadership abilities and some threats for us to leave or be kicked from the alliance (later revealed to be someone that doesn’t have the authority) I demanded a alliance leadership chat group and said I would speak on behalf of KoT as member of the council.

The chat group consisted of the haters and lovers alike. I stated our case, I made no apologies for us being us. I acknowledged that our game play style may not be everyone’s cup of tea. I said I would make this post, I asked that the MoTD be changed to reflect a rules of conduct. I said, it was unlikely that we would reform, as this game play is our nature. I asked that they kick us from alliance if they will but not threaten us in the manner that was in AS. (Again, this was met with apologies as whomever said this was not within their right).

Again I ask that we all try to abide by these rules… for the time being.

For those of you that are wondering I use these colors in DAoC. Dark green for alliance so that it looks like guild and the near orange for chat group so that it looks like close to group chat.
