by far not even close to the greatest song in metal history, simply for the fact that they are trying to be 80's hairband metal and face it, GLAM (Gay LA Metal) isnt real metal. the song is funny, but gets old fast. the music is repetative and typical. there is a reason that hair bands died off.for real metal songs that are some of the greatest of all time, here are a few that are definatly top of the list.

i like tool, seen them in concert in dallas a few years ago, but im not into system. im a political science major, if i want someones oppinion on politics i get it in a class room or on campaigns, not my music.

it was the video for Soil-Halo, definatly one of my favorites by them. i do have to agree with your statement on the current state of politics, but i do not think that attacking politicians or political stances with out proposing an alternative is helpful at all. personally i am a supporter of the war that we are currently fighting, haveing faught there myself, i think it is more important to explain your reasons for your beliefs then to simply say over and over, "why dont presidents fight the war, why do they always send the poor". but that is my reason for not likeing system. i do have to admit they are tallented, probably one of the most tallented bands around today, i just dont like their politisized metal.

Back to metal though, recently i've been giving Amon Amarth a try. The death metal singing ruins the music somewhat, but the instrumental parts are worth listening too. Still hasn't cracked me into the death metal genre, but definately has had me listening to them.

Insane rifts work well to darkfall. Gets you pumped.

i had never heard them before ox, i liked the riffs, and being a bit more open to death metal style lyrics, i can dig the vocals as well. norway comes out with alot of really heavy bands, that style of music is alot more popular there then in the states or canada
