I played a bit a while ago when I had free time. Its amazing how much faster you can chop wood / get burled wood with a better axe.

Im hoping there is a good integration between this and EQN. Being able to build the guild city from the ground up would be rad. I started working on some basic pillars, and digging out a fortress from a mountain side.

Then work and wedding prep happened, so maybe I'll get back in to it when there is a large update.

There will be, in fact I'm suspicious that they're going to pull a fast one on us and say 'here's the gate to the EQN world, it's all the same game!'. I've built a pyramid in a jungley area, i appear to be surrounded by various castles on every mountaintop.

I won't really be doing much more until they add in some forms of adventuring or character progression beyond upgrading equipment and decorating my house. Caves will be a big bonus but that is a ways away.

Closed Beta just announced, servers down on the 24/25th. I'll need to come up with a good idea to test for a KoT fortress...
